Worth it, download this one.
HIGHS:
-Superb Franklin's, really long and beautiful
-great scarlet>fire
-great 2nd set sequence after the s>f, with unique, creative jams, I like the Space
-Outstanding, wonderful Sugar Magnolia. Really a great version.
LOWS:
-Shitty sound. It sounds like you are listening through a drainpipe on the outside of the arena.
-A couple songs drag (basically just althea, mexicali blues, let it grow).
BOTTOM LINE:
Four Stars. Worth the download. Jerry's on fire, Phil is dropping bombs.

I was at this show. I was fairly burnt after the previous Paris and Amsterdam shows. I remember a great Spanish Jam. The tapes help me remember the rest.

great show and the whole band is on for the whole show,with jerry and brent the standouts.garcia leads in let grow,fire,spanish,other one are on the money as well the other songs.slight hiss in this version but don't let that deter you from a great show.enjoy

Hot Spain Show-- Garcia inspired!!!!
This show cooks from start to finish (almost). Besides the cowboy tunes the energy is just phenomenal. Franklin's is electric with Garcia singing with confidence and pride. How about the Passenger with random Phil bombs bursting throughout? Yowza! The Scarlet-Fire is one of the all-time greats. One can only assume that Garcia wanted to play his best in the country of his ancestors. Listen to this one.

Good Show But...
Good show, but do you have all day to download these files? An entire show would download in an hour until just weeks ago. NO more download managers. We are back to using Internet Explorer, a single connection and longer times. Do you like playing hopskotch up and down a set list? Are you gonna spend days getting these files? Do you love babysitting your computers? I don't either!
Idiots clog the system, trying to get huge lossless files with 56k connections which are slow as molasses. Use the MP-3 options in that case. Archive.org is becoming inefficient with the current setup...

Hot 1981 show
Definitely overshadowed by the classic 10-16-1981 show that precedes it. Great Althea and Let It Grow from the first set. Second set is very well played throughout and Scarlet>Fire smokes start to finish. Garcia plays scorching leads throughout Fire. One of the best versions out there. Sound is very good. Download this show.

scarlet>fire is smokin and the other one is nuts. tight show. we all know that this was the end of an era right before the sloppy mid-80s truly began. sbd hiss a bit distracting but not enough to damper this amazing show.

Sound problems and some hiss still do not take away from how well this band played that night.

Blue Spain
The second set of this show has always been a fave, but thats all I had, couldn't find this on Furthur or other sources, great to have it here. A very SPANISH Spanish Jam into a bossa Other One. The Scarlet-Fire-Sailor-Saint is fine.

Brent fans take note!
This recording is notable in that Brent is VERY forward in the mix and Bobby is virtually nonexistent. As previous reviews have mentioned, the Scarlet > Fire is particularly nice, full of great interplay between Jerry and Brent, Brent in particular really driving the music with his tasty Hammond licks.

A Tour Buddies Favorite
As the title says, this was a favorite show of a couple of old tour buddies of mine. It is certainly somewhat unknown and a bit underrated. the performance is solid throughout, but the clear high point to me is the ferocious Scarlet>Fire. It is punctuated by some seriously growling Hammond work from Brent and lots of heavy, clear Phil.
I'd give the show five stars if the tape quality was a little better. While it is certainly a nice sounding board, there is a little bit of pervasive hiss throughout. Don't let that stop you from picking it up though.

SICK SHOW
Brent is feeling it in this one. You can hear him in Jack Straw screaming over Bobby, he was definitely feeling it on this night. The Jams near the end of the second set are tight and expansive. Jerry is on the whole night he shreds strings on Althea and his voice is super smooth the whole night. Probably not the best show of the European Tour but worth a listen.
